General Rules

The information exchanged on the Indian Banking Forums (www.indianbankingforums.com) must relate to any issue, topic, query, suggestion, problem, information related to the Banking and or the Financial sector in India.

Sending unsolicited messages to registered users, either publicly or privately via PM or e-mail, is not allowed. Any "spamming" activities reported by registered users could lead to bannings of the accounts involved.

The primary function of the Indian Banking Forums (www.indianbankingforums.com) is for information exchange.

Additional guidelines may exist in a forum channel and are an extension to the main Indian Banking Forums Community Support Forum rules. These additional guidelines should be read before posting to the channel for the first time.

Posting

Before posting about a problem please search the forums for related postings which may help you further. If a solution is not found then post about the problem to the forums.

Postings should be made in the appropriate forum channel and should have a descriptive subject line. Topics with subject lines such as "HELP!!!" or "It doesn't work" will generally be ignored by registered users who may otherwise be able to assist.

Cross-Posting, or posting the same content in multiple forum channels, is not allowed. If you have accidently posted in the wrong forum channel please send a request to a forum moderator to move it to the appropriate channel.

Bumping postings to the top of the forum channel listing, made to get more attention to the post, is not allowed. When no one has replied to a posting you have made it is recommended to reply in the same thread with more information that may help in resolving the issue.

Please remember that registered users are taking their time to help those in need. Do not expect your posting to be answered within minutes, and when it has been replied to, please thank or acknowledge those helping out.

As a registered member you alone are responsible for the postings you make in the forum channels. The forums are not a venue for the resolution of disputes between registered users, companies or other persons and any such postings may be removed. Due to legal reasons the posting of quotes from private messages or e-mails from other persons are not permitted.

Registered users are able to edit their own postings. Please forward any changes to a forum moderator if you wish to have content edited after this time.

Postings that have been modified by forum moderators are marked as being edited with the moderators name included. Questions regarding edits should be directed via PM or e-mail to the moderator involved. Please include a link to the relevant post when questioning an action performed.

If you have any issues with an action a forum moderator has applied to your account or to one of your postings, or that of somebody elses, please contact the forum moderator involved directly with PM or via e-mail to receive a clearer response as to why an action was performed. You are also more than welcome to contact another forum moderator if you wish to receive additional feedback regarding the issue at hand.

User Profiles

Every user intending to participate in activities on Indian Banking Forums must login or register with the site. Visitors can login using their gmail account login details, their username and password for this site, or using OpenID. Users who do not have any of these accounts must first register with the site to get a username and password to login.

Usernames are used to uniquely identify ones self in the community through the use of a nickname and must not contain e-mail addresses or url addresses.

Contributions

All contributions by you must be questions, content, information must be your own, original information. You must not copy content from other websites and use it on the forums or the Magazine without using it in double-quotes and acknowledging the original resource from where you took the content.

Sharing your personal information related to your banking accounts and credit is not allowed on the forums. You can give the name of the insurance policy, etc, but not your account details related to any policies, bank cards, credit cards, etc as sharing such sensitive information may lead to fraudulent misuse by others crawling the Internet for such information.

YOU ARE ADVISED NOT TO SHARE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBERS, CREDIT CARD NUMBERS, AND OTHER SUCH PERSONAL INFORMATION OF YOURS THAT IS RELATED TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS, LOANS, CREDIT CARDS, INSURANCES, ETC.

Your posts must be constructive, informational, and must abide by the general principles of public behaviour. You must not use any slang, swear words, abusive and condescending language in your posts. Any posts found inappropriate in these aspects will be removed by the Site publishers and moderators as soon as they are reviewed by them.

Public Behaviour

Please be respectful toward other registered users, contribution authors, forum moderators, and team members. Any behavior that appears to be offensive, is not constructive, or is inappropriate will be removed with a possible ban on the accounts involved.

If you have experienced abusive behaviour from a registered member please inform a forum moderator so appropriate action can be taken.
